Tonight the club welcomed Trina Fitzalan-Howard as guest judge for the 3rd Quarterly Competition.
Starting with the prints on an Open Theme, there were a wide selection of excellent prints reviewed individually with insightful comments and constructive suggestions. Narrowing the field was a challenge in itself, but eventually there was a not-so-shortlist of eight stunning images to rank in the top 3 positions.
Overall winner for the Print Competition was ‘Cosmos’ by Brian Botham.
After a cup of tea, we returned for judging the PDI Competition where the theme was ‘Films’.
The entries again were varied mainly with interpretations of a wide selection of film titles. Judging was tough, combining technical elements with interpretation of the theme, however a shortlist was reached with the eventual winner being ‘Films’ by Fiona Preece.
Our thanks to Trina Fitzalan-Howard for coming along to judge for us.
