2nd Quarterly Photography Competition: A Night of Artistic Brilliance

On December 2nd, 2024, our photography club held its much-anticipated 2nd Quarterly Photography Competition. It was an evening filled with creativity, inspiration, and celebration of the photographic talent within our community. The competition showcased an impressive array of traditional printed photos and projected digital images (PDI), each reflecting the diverse skills and artistic visions of our members.

A Respected Judge: Simon Hickie

We were fortunate to have Simon Hickie as our judge for the evening. Known for his expertise and discerning eye, Simon brought a wealth of knowledge to the competition. His thoughtful critique and encouraging feedback enriched the experience for everyone, making the night both educational and enjoyable.

Categories of Excellence

The competition spanned multiple categories:

Traditional Prints: A wide variety of subjects graced this category, including breathtaking nature shots, heartwarming animal portraits, compelling street photography, and captivating still life compositions.
PDI Competition: The main theme for this category was Abstract Photography. This theme challenged our members to push the boundaries of creativity, resulting in imaginative and thought-provoking submissions.
