This week, our club had the pleasure of hosting a fantastic practical night focused on focus stacking, led by the talented Fiona. It was an engaging and inspiring session that brought the world of macro photography to life for many of our members.
She showed members a PowerPoint presentation and a YouTube video to give us an overview into the mechanics of the process. She answered questions and gave information about the best methods to help us to achieve successful images.
We were then able to have a go at photographing the interesting tabletop setups and endeavour to put into practice what we had learnt! Fiona was on hand to guide us through the processes, giving help and advice, when needed.
Most of the members present had never tried focus stacking before but everyone was able to achieve a reasonable image and we were all inspired to keep practicing in the future.
It was a brilliant evening, filled with learning, creativity, and plenty of inspiration to continue practicing focus stacking in the future.
